Let’s figure it out.

Include your macOS version, Disklume version, and the steps that led to the issue. A screenshot of the error can help. Please hide personal file paths before sharing.

Will it work on my Mac?

Disklume currently supports Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. It scans internal storage only. External disks, removable drives, and network locations are outside its scope.

Disklume helps you understand storage. It does not clean, delete, or move your files.

Why can’t it read a folder?

The sandbox edition asks you to choose folders using the macOS picker. Select the folder you want to scan, or an appropriate parent folder. Full Disk Access does not replace that selection.

macOS may still protect some locations. Disklume reports inaccessible areas as partial coverage instead of treating them as empty. If a folder moves or remembered access no longer works, choose it again.

How do exports work?

Open Export scan, choose CSV or JSON, then choose a destination with the Save dialog. Names and full paths are off by default. Turn them on only if you need them in the export.

When reporting an export issue, include the format, the error message, and whether you were creating a new file or replacing an existing export. Do not send your entire scan unless it is needed for diagnosis.

Why are storage sizes different?

Logical file size, allocated space, and the amount macOS reports as available describe different things. Hard links and shared APFS blocks can complicate totals. Unreadable folders, cloud-only files, and filesystem changes during a scan can also affect the picture.

Disklume makes partial coverage visible. APFS snapshot diagnostics are unavailable in the sandbox edition, so a scan should not be treated as a complete accounting of every byte on a drive.

Where can I download Disklume?

The first Mac App Store release is being prepared. Public download is not available yet; the planned launch price is free. We’ll update the product page when it is live.

If you have a TestFlight invitation and installation fails, include the exact message and your macOS version in your support email. Redeeming an invitation and installing a build are separate steps.
